To purge society of corruption, a judicial commission will be formed in Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK), said Prime Minister Chaudhry Abdul Majeed on Monday, while addressing a press conference at the Prime Minister’s Secretariat in Muzaffarabad.
The AJK prime minister said that despite a budget deficit of Rs7.6 billion inherited by his government, two medical colleges had been established and mega schemes initiated in the state.
He added that the tender for phase 1 of the Murree-Muzaffarabad Expressway has been floated, while the construction of a road from Muzaffarabad to Tao Butt will be undertaken by the National Highway Authority to ensure it conforms to international standards to promote tourism in the state.
“To overcome unemployment, we have given a five-year age relaxation so that people, who were deprived of opportunities could be accommodated, the prime minister said.”
Our government will implement its manifesto in its true spirit,” he added. “We will deliver on all our promises.”
We want to lay the foundations for an educated nation and intend to allocate 50 per cent of the education budget for co-curricular activities.
