Karachi University’s (KU) mathematics department organised a seminar.
KARACHI:
Karachi University’s (KU) mathematics department organised a seminar titled “Arfa Kareem Memorial Workshop,” on Monday, where numerous speakers lauded the achievements of the child prodigy. “Arfa, who was the youngest Microsoft professional, was an asset for the entire nation. While she is no longer with us, she has left behind a legacy of hard work and dedication for her admirers to follow,” said one of the panelists. Chairperson of the department, Prof Dr Sarwar Jahan Abbasi, told the audience about the use of technology in the teaching of mathematics, and said that it was unfortunate that a lot of people considered the subject to be a “dry” one. A large number of KU students and faculty members attended the workshop.
