Committee members directed CDA to prepare a feasibility report to increase its limits to 12 union councils.
ISLAMABAD:
The National Assembly Sub Committee on the Cabinet Secretariat directed the Capital Development Authority (CDA) chairman on Monday to broaden the civic agency’s municipal limits in the rural areas.
Committee members directed the CDA to prepare a feasibility report to increase its limits to 12 union councils in rural Islamabad. The convener, PML-N MNA Dr Tariq Fazal Chaudhry, also asked the CDA to spend a handsome amount of funds generated from Zone-IV housing societies in the rural areas to facilitate local people. In addition, the committee members expressed concern at residents being unable to get jobs despite special quotas. The committee also discussed progress on Park Enclave, during which they were informed that the project has yet to start due to objections raised over the consulting firm.
