Sindh assembly: Jatoi brothers ask MQM to apologise

Masroor Jatoi said that the MQM had not only insulted one of his party members but the sanctity of the house.

KARACHI:

The Sindh Assembly session will resume on Monday (today).

The issues that could not be discussed at Friday’s assembly will be taken up again. The members of the National Peoples Party (NPP) will most likely bring up the issue of how MPA Arif Mustafa Jatoi was pushed around during the last session. While talking to The Express Tribune, MPA Masroor Jatoi said that the Muttahida Qaumi Movement had not only insulted one of his party members but the sanctity of the house.

He added that the MQM should apologise or be prepared to be dealt with in the same way. Pakistan Peoples Party leaders met on Sunday to discuss a strategy for Monday’s session. MQM MPA Sardar Ahmed said that they would attend the session, but there was not planned protest. “We did not misbehave with Arif Mustafa Jatoi,” he said when asked about NPP’s claims. “I have no idea if anyone from my party assaulted him.”
