Says, it is a waste of time to comment on Habib's character, the truth behind his claims will soon be exposed.
LONDON:
Nawaz asserted on Sunday that he had never met Younis Habib and that the truth behind the claims of receiving hefty amounts from him will soon be exposed, Express News reported.
Showing disdain for Habib, he said that,“Habib has changed his stance four times in the past four days. It is a waste of time to comment on the character of a person like Habib.”
Nawaz was speaking at a press conference in London, along with other party members, the PML-N chief added that agencies had tried to mislead us in the past but we have always stayed firm towards strengthening democracy, said Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) president Nawaz Sharif on Sunday.
Earlier Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif had called the Mehrangate scandal the “biggest lie of the century”.
Nawaz further said that his party works for Pakistan’s prosperity while dictators were only interested in staying in power.
Criticising the government’s performance, he said out of all the provinces of Pakistan, only Punjab has flourished in recent years.
