Tragedy: Newlywed dies from burn injuries
Her daughter Fauzia was burned in a fire while she was cooking in the kitchen.
RAWALPINDI:
A newlywed woman died of severe burn injuries in the Morgah area of Saturday.
Khurshid Begum, a resident of Muhalla Chaudhrian, told the police that her daughter Fauzia was burned in a fire while she was cooking in the kitchen. She was taken to a nearby hospital in critical condition and was soon pronounced dead by the doctors.
According to the complainant, Fauzia was married to Mushtaq Hussain of Dhaman Syedan four months back and had come to spend the weekend with her parents on Friday.
In another incident,the Civil Lines police arrested three persons and seized alcohol and drugs from their possession. The police arrested Nauman, Arshad and Iftikhar after seizing 190 grams of hashish from Nauman, 320 grams of hashish from Arshad and five bottles of liquor from Iftikhar upon inspection. Separate cases were registered.
