PESHAWAR: Police officials managed to escape uninjured in three separate incidents on Saturday in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (K-P). The Mattani police, who had gathered to pay tributes to Superintendent of Police (SP) Abdul Kalam Khan who was killed in a suicide attack on Thursday, were the targets of a road-side bomb that exploded in Qadir Abad village in Darwazgai locality. No one was injured in the attack. A few hours later, the bomb disposal squad diffused a bomb planted on the road that connects Peshawar to Bara, SHO Fazle Mola told The Express Tribune. He claimed that the police received a tip-off. “The target was our police van which routinely patrols the area,” he stated. Later in the day, a 10-kg bomb targeting another police carrier was diffused in Doaba Hangu, DPO Mian Muhammad Saeed told reporters.
