Football: FIFA and Brazil put row behind them

Blatter added that Rousseff had promised to meet all of the commitments made to Fifa.

Brazil and Fifa pledged to work together for the success of the 2014 World Cup after high-level fence-mending talks to end their row over criticism of the country’s lagging preparations for the event.”We came to the conclusion that we will work together hand in hand and we will be able to present the most extraordinary Word Cup ever organised,” said Fifa boss Sepp Blatterr after a meeting lasting nearly two hours with Brazil President Dilma Rousseff. Blatter added that Rousseff had promised to meet all of the commitments made to Fifa by the government of her predecessor Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva.
