Madhyana was earlier sent on a two-day physical remand, upon the completion of which he was presented in an anti-terrorism court.
Lawyer of teacher Nafees Khan said that an interrogation is necessary to arrest the companions of the accused, and added that in order to get hold of the weapons that Madhyana is allegedly hiding, a physical remand of another eight days is required.
On the other hand, Madhyana’s lawyer said that it was mentioned in the FIR that he was empty-handed and did not possess any weapons.
The court handed over the verdict of a five-day physical remand after listening to the both parties.
Moreover, students protested and shouted slogans against Madhyana outside the court room.
