Tehreek-e-Nifaz-e-Urdu Pakistan held a reception in the honour of poet and intellectual, Sarshar Siddiqui, on Friday. Many writers, poets and intellectuals, including Dr Syed Mubeen Akhter and Masood Ahmed Barkati addressed the event and paid rich tribute to Siddiqui for his services to Urdu language and literature. In his speech the author, who is also a recipient of the Presidential Award, highlighted the importance of Urdu and demanded that it should be made the primary language of communication at work and schools in the country.
