RAWALPINDI:

Progress and prosperity in Pakistan depends on educating women, said Punjab Governor Sardar Latif Khan Khosa on Friday. He was speaking at the 13th convocation of Pir Mehr Ali Shah Arid Agriculture University Rawalpindi (PMAS-AAUR).

“We can make Pakistan prosper through education and technology,” he said, adding that students are the future of Pakistan and education is the art of healing. He emphasised that students should use their skills to contribute to the agriculture sector.

On the occasion, over 1,400 students — 938 postgraduate, 20 PhD, and 491 undergraduate students — were awarded degrees. Forty-one were decorated with medals.
