Earlier, Bahawalpur police claimed to have arrested three members of Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP).
The arrested men were initially identified as robbers, but the police say the investigations revealed that they were members of the banned outfit.
Sources say the men have been involved in a number of acts of terrorism in Multan and DG Khan, adding that they were planning to blow up bridges and target important personalities.
