A court on Tuesday jailed a 42-year-old man for life for burning the Holy Quran, officials said. Naseem Ahmed, father of three, was arrested last June on charges of desecrating the Holy Scripture in Lasda village in Kashmir, about 40 kilometres east of Muzaffarabad. The farmer was found guilty under blasphemy laws that make defaming Islam punishable by death.
