Pakistan golfers continue to struggle
Junior players unimpressive at Faldo Series Asia Grand Final.

Pakistan’s junior golfers continued to struggle at the sixth Faldo Series Asia Grand Final, slipping further after the end of the second round of the event at Mission Hills in Schenzhen, China.
According to details made available, the colts found it hard to match the skills of their counterparts.
Mubariz Ahmed, who showed a lot of promise in the Faldo Series leg in Pakistan last year, fell to 15th place shared by Vasistha Pawar of India. Mubariz, who claimed 12th spot on the opening day with a score of 11-over-par 83, marked a 14-over-par 86 on the second day of the boys U16 event.
In boys U-18, Sameer Merchant, who gave Pakistan hopes after finishing on eighth position after the initial round, dropped 10 places to now sit at 18th position after an unimpressive second day’s card of 14-over-par 86.
Ghufran Ahmed also dropped two places to fall to the bottom in the eight-man competition in the boys U21 event. He carded a 15-over-par 87 on the day.
Pakistan’s lone female representative Kashifa Shah, competing in the U21 event, continued to stay at the 14th position after carding a 22-over par 94, though she showed improvement as compared to her opening day’s card.
