Cricket: India blind team outclasses Pakistan
Hosts clinch opening one-day match.
KARACHI:
After securing the T20 series 2-1, hosts India thrashed Pakistan by five wickets to take a 1-0 lead in the three-match Bilateral Blind One-Day Series in Chennai.
Ganesh Busara scored an unbeaten 156 to be named man of the match as India chased down the 353-run target with three overs to spare from the allotted 40.
Ajay Kumar Reddy (76) was the other leading scorer as he added 197 runs for the fourth wicket with Busara after India were reeling at 90 for three at one stage.
Earlier, after being put in to bat, Pakistan accumulated 352 courtesy a splendid knock of 96 from Mohamamd Fayyaz. Mohammad Akram was also impressive with his 44-ball knock of 73.
