Eradicating Polio: Motorway police joins in
‘One-day regional polio immunisation campaign’ launched at the main Motorway toll plaza in Peshawar.

The Motorway police has also joined hands with the government to root out polio from the society. The National Highways and Motorway Police, in collaboration with the United Nations International Children’s Emergency Fund (UNICEF), launched a ‘one-day regional polio immunisation campaign’ at the main Motorway toll plaza in Peshawar on Monday.
Speaking on the occasion, provincial Deputy Director of the Expanded Programme on Immunisation (EPI) Dr Janbaz Afridi said Pakistan is unfortunately among the three countries which are still fighting the disease. These countries include Pakistan, Afghanistan and Nigeria.
