Volleyball: 4 players renew contract with foreign clubs
“Volleyball is a neglected sport here,” said Naseer.
KARACHI:
Deprived of action at home, four Pakistan volleyball players have renewed their contract with foreign clubs in Oman, UAE and Iran for the 2012-13 season.
The Pakistan Volleyball Federation (PVF) President Chaudhry Yaqoob said that the players - Mohammad Naseer, Farooq Khan, Mohammad Muneer and Irfan Nawaz - have signed four-month contracts and will be paid $8,000.
“Volleyball is a neglected sport here,” said Naseer. “However, at international level, people recognise our talent and give us a chance to show it. These clubs offer us a very professional and lucrative deal.”
