KHAIRPUR:

A complete shutter-down strike was observed in Gambat town on call of the Hindu community on Sunday as a protest against kidnappings and forced conversions.

The Hindu leaders told the media that they are not provided protection by the government while crimes against the community continue to increase. The protestors informed that a Hindu trader, Mirwah Ladiko Mal, and his driver were kidnapped from the Therhi bypass on Sunday. Mal, along with Zaheer Rind, left for Choondiko on Saturday but both of them went missing. Their vehicle was found the next day.
