Football: Younus’ hat-trick propels KPT to victory
Football club celebrates 125 years with win in National Challenge Cup.

Mohammad Bin Younus scored a hat-trick as KPT won the opening match of the National Challenge Cup defeating Pakistan Steel 3-0 in Karachi yesterday.
Younus scored in the 44th minute as KPT led 1-0 at the interval. The hosts dominated the proceedings after resumption with Younus netting his second goal in the 77th minute before sealing the result in KPT’s favour.
The National Challenge Cup is featuring 16 teams with KPT hosting the tournament celebrating 125 years of its football club. The KPT manager Shah Naeem said the tournament was being organised to pay tribute to the sporting history of the club. “Our only goal is to promote football in the country,”
said Naeem.
