Accident: Woman killed, husband injured
Police sources said that Munawar Jan and her husband were crossing the road when the truck hit them.
A woman was killed while her husband was injured after being hit by a speeding truck on Peshawar Road on Friday.
Police sources said that Munawar Jan and her husband were crossing the road when the truck hit them.
They suffered multiple injuries and were taken to District Headquarter Hospital where Jan was pronounced dead. Meanwhile, the same police arrested two men and seized hashish and liquor from their possession. The police seized 115g hashish from Shaukat Ali and 30 bottles of liquor from Luqman. Separate cases have been registered and investigations are underway.
