Hajj operators: Reply sought from ministry

The Lahore High Court on Friday sought a reply from the Ministry of Religious Affairs on a petition seeking details of Rs28,000 collected by Hajj Tour Operators under the head of ‘ministry charges’. Petitioner-advocate Azhar Siddique submitted that many tour operators had charged pilgrims the amount but no details had been provided. He requested that the ministry be directed to reveal what the amount was being used for. Chief Justice Sheikh Azmat Saeed directed the ministry to submit a reply within 10 days.
