KARACHI: As Karachi continues to see violence since the assassination of MQM provincial lawmaker Raza Haider on Monday, artists of the city show their concern. From singers to comedians and from television artists to film actors, they have all condemned the chaos in the city.

Behroz Sabzwari

Killing the innocents is heinous. We should all be very cautious and if we witness people involved in violent activities, we should immediately report them to the police. We should all play our part in tackling the situation.

Shakeel Siddiqui

The city has been cursed once again. Certain hostile forces can’t see Karachi in peace. Like everyone else, the artists are also very concerned about the situation.

Saleem Javed

Citizens of Karachi have always played a role to maintain peace but there are some people who don’t want it. They have tried to incite violence a number of times in the past. But the citizens should remain calm at this point and try to foil all conspiracies against the city.

Saud

People who are destroying the city are not a part of it. People of Karachi do not believe in violence. History shows that Karachi has always welcomed people from all parts of the country. It is now our duty to fight the conspiracies schemed against us.
