PESHAWAR:
Peshawar High Court on Wednesday rejected the bail plea of a British citizen of Pakistani origin who was arrested on drug charges last year. The state counsel said Wasim Raza, 43, was arrested from Bacha Khan International Airport after the police seized eight kilogrammes of opium from his luggage. The counsel also produced pictures showing Waseem with an alleged drug dealer. Waseem’s counsel claimed the drugs were not seized from his client’s luggage, while the pictures did not prove he was a drug dealer.
