Graft: Two cops arrested
Batala Colony police station’s SI Manzoor Ahmed extorted Rs3,000 from her.

The Anti Corruption Establishment on Wednesday arrested two police officers on charges of corruption. The ACE said that Aeysha Bibi, a resident of Barkat Pura, had informed them that Batala Colony police station’s Sub Inspector (SI) Manzoor Ahmed had extorted Rs3,000 from her. Ahmed confessed to taking the bribe after being arrested, police said. Separately, Circle Officer Faisal Aziz arrested Assistant Sub Inspector (ASI) of Massan police station on charges of tampering with the official record.
