Kohat Road blast injures four schoolchildren
Remote-controlled bomb explodes in handcart, no casualties reported.

Four schoolchildren were injured when a remote-controlled bomb placed in a handcart exploded on Kohat Road, in the suburbs of Peshawar, said police.
According to sources, a military convoy had passed five minutes before the explosion took place, however, the exact target of the attack was not clear.
“The bomb exploded in a handcart in which around 3kgs of explosives were used,” senior police official Kalam Khan told The Express Tribune that there were no casualties, however, four schoolchildren sustained injuries.
The injured were moved to Lady Reading Hospital, where the spokesman identified the injured as Fatima d/o Shah Khalid, Abdul Waheed s/o Abdul Wudood, Naveed s/o Rahimullah and Arif Gul s/o Spen Gul.
The doctors at the hospital said that Fatima's condition was serious.
Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Raizul Islam said that a person who belongs to Miranshah was apprehended but it cannot be said if he was involved in the blast. “Apparently, it seems that he was running away, which is a natural human reaction when an explosion takes place,” he said.
Badhaber, bordering Khyber agency, is considered to be amongst the most dangerous areas in the limits of Peshawar. Police and security officials have been consistently targeting militants in the area.
