Athletics: Robles pulls out from world indoors
Robles reportedly crashed into one of the hurdles during a training session in Spain.
HAVANA:
Olympic high-hurdles champion Dayron Robles will miss the world indoor championships with a pulled back muscle, according to a Cuban athletics official. Robles reportedly crashed into one of the hurdles during a training session in Spain. The injury will keep him out of this weekend’s championships in Istanbul, which were looming as a key event in his preparations for the London Olympics. “It’s nothing serious, but Robles doesn’t want to take risks looking ahead to the Olympics,” said the official.
