Road accident: Two killed as truck plunges into river
Two persons were killed when a loaded truck plunged into Indus River on Karakoram Highway
HARIPUR:
Two persons were killed when a loaded truck plunged into Indus River on Karakoram Highway on Sunday evening. According to the police, the truck was on its way to Gilgit when it went out of control while taking a blind turn near Dasu in Kohistan and fell into the river. Both the driver and his assistant were killed on the spot. Local people retrieved the bodies and shifted them to a hospital. The deceased were identified as Safdar Muhammad Farid, a resident of Manal Dewal village and Chanzeb from Nara Havelian.
