Cricket: 14 teams to contest women’s event
A total of 14 teams will compete for the title.
KARACHI:
The Seventh National Women’s Cricket Championship, organised by the Pakistan Cricket Board Women’s Wing, will begin on March 9 with matches being played in Lahore, Islamabad and Rawalpindi.
A total of 14 teams will compete for the title. Pool A consists of Lahore, Islamabad, Quetta, Multan and Abbottabad, while ZTBL, Rawalpindi, Sialkot, Peshawar and Pakistan Board constitute Pool B. The third group features Karachi, HEC, Faisalabad and Hyderabad.
Following the initial round, winners from each pool will play a Triangular League in Islamabad to determine the contestants of the final, which will be played on March 24.
