Mark Allen won his first ranking title with a 10-1 victory over world number 11 Stephen Lee in the World Open final. Allen secured his 11th century break of the tournament en route to victory, having taken an 8-1 lead in the opening session. “I think I’ve been playing well all week,” said Allen. “I might have to change my opinion of China now. It’s my first ranking tournament win and I’ll have good memories.” Allen had earlier sparked controversy by passing negative comments regarding the accommodation and facilities in Haikou.
