Candle light vigil: Shahbaz Bhatti remembered
The federal minister was killed on March 2, 2011.

More than 30 human rights activists participated in a candle light vigil on Friday paid tributes to Shahbaz Bhatti, the federal minister who was killed on March 2, 2011.
The vigil was held at the Liberty roundabout in Gulberg and attended by representatives of Institute for Peace and Secular Studies, Centre for Human Rights Education, the Justice and Peace Commission, the Ecumenical Commission for Human Development and other civil society groups.
The participants carried placards with slogans condemning Bhatti’s murder and religiously motivated violence.
Advocate Hina Jillani regretted that Bhatti’s killers had yet not been arrested.
Another vigil was organised by the PPP’s Christian members and Women Wing workers in front of the Punjab Assembly.
