Tennis: Roddick avenges loss to Istomin
Roddick converted all three of his break chances with a 6-4, 7-5 victory.

Fourth-seed Andy Roddick beat Denis Istomin in straight sets to reach the quarter-finals of the Delray Beach tournament, avenging his loss to the Uzbek a fortnight earlier. Roddick converted all three of his break chances to book his second last-eight appearance of the season with a 6-4, 7-5 victory. Istomin had beaten Roddick in the quarter-finals en of the San Jose Open last month. “We played a few weeks ago, and it was pretty ugly,” said Roddick. “He took care of me pretty easily, so it’s nice to get one back.” Meanwhile, seventh-seed Kevin Anderson posted a 6-3, 3-6, 6-3 victory over Xavier Malisse.
