125 years of excellence: Pakistan Post to issue commemorative Aitchison College stamps
The Rs8 stamp will be available across the country from March 3.

On Aitchison College Lahore’s 125th anniversary, Pakistan Post will be issuing a commemorative postage stamp as part of its anniversary year celebrations.
In a press release issued on Thursday, Pakistan Post announced that the Rs8 stamp will be available for sale, across the country, from March 3.
Founded on November 3 1886, the school is one of the most prestigious educational institutions in South Asia, offering a Cambridge Curriculum, including GCE O, AS and A levels.
The school was named after the then Lt. Governor of the Punjab, Sir Charles Umpherston Aitchison, whose vision for the institution was to produce educated individuals with a refined personality.
Some of the school’s illustrious alumni include former Prime Minister of Pakistan Malik Feroz Khan Noon, Nawab Amir Mohammad Khan of Kalabagh, the late Baloch leader Nawab Akbar Khan Bugti, stalwart politician Barrister Chaudhry Aitzaz Ahsan, former foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi and cricketer turned politician Imran Khan.
