Out dated: Teaching hospitals don’t have MRIs
Installing of CT scans and MRIs at the four major teaching hospitals is still to be completed even after six years.

The project of installing CT scans and Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRIs) at the four major teaching hospitals of Sindh is still to be completed even after six years of being approved. It was approved by Executive Committee of the National Economic Council in 2006. The hospitals where the CT scans and MRIs were to be installed were Civil hospital in Karachi, Chandka Medical College Hospital Larkana, Peoples Medical College Hospital Benazirabad and Liaquat University Hospital in Hyderabad. The estimated cost was Rs564 million. Although the machinery was imported in 2010 and 2011 but it is still to be used.
