Measles: ‘Epidemic rumours unfounded’
Out of 40 children examined in several villages of the area, three were found infected with a skin ailment.

Bahawalpur district officer (Health) Dr Saeed Asghar on Saturday rebutted a news item published in a section of press about the outbreak of measles epidemic Noushehra Jadid area near Ahmedpur East. He said of the 40 children examined in several villages of the area three were found infected with a skin ailment. He said blood samples of these children had been sent to a laboratory in Islamabad for further tests.
