Karak Rape Case: Court rejects bail pleas of accused
Uzma had alleged that 13 persons including three police officials and an army official had gang-raped her
PESHAWAR:
An Anti-Terrorim Court (ATC) has rejected the bail pleas of four persons accused of killing the Karak rape victim, Uzma Ayub’s brother .
ATC Judge Asghar Ali Shah, while hearing the bail plea of ASI Hakim Shah, Javed Shah, Abdul Wahid and Azmat Shah, accused of killing Alamzeb Khattak, rejected the request on Friday.
The four persons were arrested when Zafran, Uzma’s other brother, registered a complaint with the Takht-i-Nusrati police on December 9, 2011, accusing the four officials and Ibrahim Shah, the ASI’s brother, of killing Alamzeb on court premises. However, Ibrahim, suspected to be the main culprit, is still at large.
According to the police, the motorbike suspected to be used by Ibrahim to escape from the crime scene has been recovered.
Alamzeb was killed on court premises when he was escorting Uzma in Karak.
Uzma had alleged that 13 persons including three police officials and an army official had gang-raped her after she was abducted and illegally detained for 13 months.
