Falcons through to semi-final

ISLAMABAD:
Islamabad Falcons, the most consistent club of the capital, outplayed Islamabad Bulls 100-60 to reach the semi-final of the 4th Capital Cup Basketball Championship 2010.

The match picked up pace in the second quarter when Islamabad Falcons had a brilliant 10 minutes of play as they amassed 40 points while Bulls could manage only 12. As Falcons led 59-26 at the halfway stage, Islamabad Bulls tried their best to fight back but to no avail. Rizwan Khurshid was the highest scorer for the Islamabad Falcons, with 37 points.


In the other quarter-final Rust defeated Eagles 40-30 owed largely to Nafees Shahzad, who contributed 23 points.
