Vaccination: Sindh govt starts hepatitis campaign

KARACHI:
The Sindh government started its vaccination programme for hepatitis from a school in PIB Colony on Monday. Six million children and 0.15 million teachers from both public and private schools across the province will be vaccinated under the programme, which is supposed to cover 48,813 public schools in Sindh. The campaign is targeted towards children aged from five to 15 years. The project director, Dr Abdul Majeed, said that 4.5 million people were vaccinated and 128,000 hepatitis patients treated in 2011.
