Boxing: Chisora faces fine for Klitschko slap
WBC President Jose Sulaiman condemned Chisora for 'severely slapping' Klitschko.
LONDON:
British challenger Dereck Chisora will be fined for slapping World Boxing Council (WBC) champion Vitali Klitschko on the cheek during the weigh-in for their heavyweight title fight in Munich. WBC President Jose Sulaiman condemned Chisora for 'severely slapping' Klitschko and said the organisation would hold a hearing to determine the size of the fine. "Boxing, even though it is violent, is a sport of gentlemen and fair play," said Sulaiman. "The WBC has decided to fine Chisora for not complying with the fair play that is required in all sports." Sulaiman said Klitschko had behaved like a professional despite being provoked.
