Tennis: Mushtaq defeats Nazer in 1st round
Mushtaq defeated Khalid Ali Nazer 6-4, 6-2.

Mohammad Abid Mushtaq cruised into the second round of the International Club Trophy Ranking Tennis Championship after he defeated Khalid Ali Nazer 6-4, 6-2 in the men's singles event at the Karachi Gymkhana. Aqeel Khan, meanwhile, was awarded a walk-over against Saif Noor Sumar who failed to show up for their match. Ali Murad also progressed as he outplayed Talha Zubair 6-0, 6-0, while Lahore's Malik Abdul Rehman overcame Muhammed Manzer 4-6, 7-6, 6-3 in the longest match of the day, which lasted two hours.
