Cold weather claims lives of two children in Quetta
Six-year-old Manzoor and four-year-old Karim were found dead in their room.
QUETTA:
Cold weather and non-availability of gas resulted in the death of two children in Khilji Colony on the outskirts of Quetta on Saturday.
Six-year-old Manzoor and four-year-old Karim were found dead in their room today. The owner of the house has been identified as Habibullah.
“The children were shivering with cold and had died. There is no gas supply to Khilji Colony and many other localities of Quetta for the past one week,” residents said, adding that gas pressure was low and in most cases residents could not switch on gas heaters to warm their rooms.
