Cricket: Domestic event’s structure revamped

KARACHI:
The recommendations proposed by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) task team for revamping the domestic structure have not received an official thumbs-up yet but one of the proposals has already been implemented with departments and regions being placed in different groups for the upcoming Faysal Bank One-Day Cup. Division-I matches will start from March 8 with Group A consisting of PIA, ZTBL, Wapda, SBP, HBL and NBP while Group B will be composed of Karachi Dolphins, Rawalpindi Rams, Sialkot Stallions, Abbottabad Falcons, Islamabad Leopards and Faisalabad Wolves. The top two teams from each group will qualify for the semi-finals. Meanwhile, the Division-II One-Day event will begin from February 27.
