ISLAMABAD:

In a tribute of sorts to Pakistan, Abrar Cheema's exhibition opened at the Nomad Gallery here on Wednesday.

The collection depicts glimpses into landscape, architecture and vibrant people. Titled ‘Real visage of my land Pakistan’ the collection has captured the beauty of the country with advanced techniques such as panoramic and infrared photography.

Abrar did Masters in Fine Arts from Punjab University and has strong foundation in art, creativity, multimedia productions, documentary making, photography and commercial art.

While sharing his comments at the inaugural ceremony of the show, he said Pakistan is a vast subject that will keep the camera going non-stop as it captures snow-capped mountains, valleys, rivers, history, the verity of culture, and unlimited angles of urban and rural life.

“I am particularly passionate about capturing tent pegging, a powerful and enthusiastic game of the kings. I love the beautiful horses, powerful riders, their colourful costumes, and the charged atmosphere,” he commented.

He said that he liked to work on 360 by 180 degree coverage that panoramic photography provides. The exhibition also focused on infrared light, which help highlight the hidden images giving a fascinating effect for landscapes and waterscapes. The exhibition would continue till February 23.
