Formula One: ‘I’m still better than Schumacher’

Mercedes driver Nico Rosberg is confident he still has the edge over teammate Michael Schumacher heading into the 2012 season. Rosberg scored nearly double as many points as Schumacher in their first year as teammates in 2010, but the seven-time world champion narrowed the gap to just 13 points at the end of last season. However, Rosberg remains unconcerned with his German partner’s resurgence. “Schumacher closed the gap on me... but that was largely due to the tyres and the Drag Reduction System, which made overtaking easier,” said Rosberg. “Qualifying lost a lot of its importance in 2011 and that was the main explanation.”
