Fresh endorsements: Rear admirals of Navy receive promotion
All three Vice Admirals have been honoured with the Sitara-e-Imtiaz.

In recognition of their outstanding services, rear admirals of the Pakistan Navy, Muhammad Shafiq, Muhammad Zakaullah and Shafqat Jawed have been promoted to the rank of Vice Admiral with immediate effect. Vice Admiral Muhammad Shafiq was commissioned in the Operations branch of Pakistan Navy in June 1977 whereas Vice Admirals Muhammad Zakaullah and Shafqat Jawed were commissioned in the Operations branch of Pakistan Navy in June 1978. All three Vice Admirals have been honoured with the Sitara-e-Imtiaz and Vice Admirals Shafiq and Zakaullah have also received the Hilal-e-Imtiaz in addition.
