New bus stands: Transport secy to reply by Feb 20
A local transporter filed a petition that shifting of the bus stand from Badami Bagh will cause huge financial losses

Hearing of a petition that has challenged the shifting of Badami Bagh Bus Station to two new locations was adjourned till February 20 after the respondent failed to file a reply. Justice Khalid Mahmood Khan of the Lahore High Court gave the transport secretary time to file a reply by the next hearing. A local transporter, Muhammad Tariq, has filed the petition, contending that the shifting of the bus stand from Badami Bagh will cause huge financial losses to transporters and also cause a great inconvenience to passengers. He has prayed that the government be restrained from shifting the bus stand to new locations.
