Senate Polls: ANP leaders file nomination papers

Candidates of Awami National Party (ANP) filed their nomination papers for the upcoming senate elections in the office of provincial Election Commission on Monday. Those who filed the papers included former federal minister Azam Khan Hoti, ANP Sindh President Shahi Syed, former senator Ilyas Ahmed Bilour, former provincial minister Baz Muhammad Khan and Information Minister for K-P Mian Iftikhar Hussain. The ANP also awarded a party ticket to Ajit Malhotra for contesting polls on the minority seat. The ruling ANP with 50 seats in the K-P legislature is likely to obtain six seats out of 11 in the Senate elections.
