A step forward: Govt to establish IT parks in K-P
Government has allocated Rs1 billion for the project, which will be completed in a period of five years.

The Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (K-P) government has announced the establishment of two IT parks in the province.
The announcement was made during a Memorandum of Understanding signing ceremony.
Amjad Shahid Afridi, the K-P Information Technology Board’s managing director, said that the government has allocated Rs1 billion for the project, which will be completed in a period of five years.
One of the parks will be established in Peshawar, while the other will be set up in Abbottabad.
In addition to that, the provincial IT minister will also visit Afghanistan in March to explore the avenues of business in the country.
“There are huge business opportunities in Afghanistan and we can easily take advantage of them,” he remarked, adding that the board is also considering opening an office in Kabul to facilitate investors.
