MOSCOW:
Former England coach Fabio Capello arrived in Moscow yesterday to hold talks with Russian Premier League club Anzhi Makhachkala, according to the Sport Express. The Italian, who was considered by Anzhi chiefs as a candidate for the club’s head coach post even when he was coaching the English squad, came just days after his resignation. Anzhi have had little success in Russian football until being acquired by tycoon Suleyman Kerimov last year and going on a spending spree that landed them Cameroon’s Samuel Eto’o and Brazilian Roberto Carlos.
