Kidnapping: Body of slain DSP's son recovered from Gulistan-e-Jauhar
Kidnappers contacted Zayeem’s family, demanded for ransom of Rs5 million, murdered him when demands were not met.

Police recovered the body of slain DSP Nawaz Ranjha’s son on Sunday from the Gulistan-e-Jauhar area of Karachi soon after reports about his murder had surfaced in the early hours today.
The deceased, Zayeem Ranjha’s body was found in a gunny bag which was buried six feet under the ground.
According to Express News' correspondent, Wasiq Muhammad, Zayeem, 12, was kidnapped for ransom on the evening of February 8, around 8:00pm and an FIR was lodged for his kidnapping in the Shahra-e-Faisal police station by his mother.
The kidnappers had contacted Zayeem’s family and had demanded for a ransom of Rs5 million. The case was referred to anti-violence crime cell.
Zayeem’s mother had informed the police that she suspected the electricians who were present in their house for some work.
The Citizens-Police Liaison Committee (CPLC) and police arrested four men who were suspected of their involvement in Zayeem’s kidnapping.
After investigation, they revealed that they had called Zayeem and had told him to come outside his house after which they kidnapped him.
They further revealed that when their demand for ransom was not met, they murdered him and buried his body.
DSP Ranjha was killed along with other policemen on MA Jinnah Road earlier in August, 2010.
