Tennis: Soderling forced to postpone return

LONDON:
Former world number five Robin Soderling has suffered a setback in his recovery from glandular fever. The Swede, who has been inactive since July and has slipped to 14th in the world rankings, was set to return to the courts this month. However, Soderling has now revealed his inability to compete in February without predicting when he expects to be back in action. "The good news is that the symptoms of the mononucleosis, like sore throat and fever, are gone," said Soderling. "But my body still cannot handle intense training. I am working with my medical team to understand why this is the case and what my next step should be."
